Absolute Poker Review
The Mac OS client for Absolute Poker is available via download from the Absolute Poker website. The initial download is one of the
fastest around and has you into the software in well under a minute. Registering a new account is quick and easy, letting you get to the tables within a minimum amount of time.
The software has an average look-and-feel that Mac users are stuck with since the customizable options (table skins and avatars) are not available in the Mac software. The software does let you move your seat
to a preferred postion and has clear iconography and large buttons for raising, checking or folding, so the game interface should be relatively comfortable for a Mac user.
The Mac software has the same game selection as the PC version, so you have the option of playing holdem cash games, omaha, tournaments and everything else that Absolute Poker has to offer. You can also play on
multiple tables at the same time. Game play is designed for to be quick and cards are dealt very quickly to keep the game moving along at a fast pace. Many online poker players are impatient with the slow pace
of many poker rooms, so if that is you, this is the place to be for quicker hands. In the event of an all-in, all of the cards are dealt immediately (even pre-flop).
Absolute Poker also offers the option of playing side blackjack games, so if the fast pace of the game still isn't fast enough, you have another option for taking up the dead space during hands you aren't involved in.
The Blackjack software is one-on-one against the dealer letting you take your time with making hand decisions so you can focus on your poker game first.

The Bottom Line
Absolute Poker's Mac software offers the same game play as the PC version, but not all of the same customization. If you like a faster game of online poker, then Absolute Poker is the place for you.
