Poker Stars Review
The Mac OS client for Poker Stars was downloaded from the  Poker Stars website quickly and easily and installed without any issues. Registering for a new
account and getting to the tables to play took no time at all. The Poker Stars software client had no issues running on a Mac running OS X 10.5. Regular software updates are required to continue playing
on the poker client, and luckily the updates are quick and easy to install (less than a minute on a broadband connection).
The first thing you will notice when logging into Poker Stars is the sheer quantity of players they have online -- many times Poker Stars has over 200,000 players seated and playing. Poker Stars is by far the
largest poker room online meaning you will be able to find the game you want to play without a problem and with a short wait time to be seated. The system has ongoing ring games from .01/.02 all the way up to
$200/400 for high stakes players. The sit-n-go buy-ins vary from 25 cents all the way up to $400, offering options for the beginning player all the way up to the high stakes poker player.
The Poker Stars interface features customizable table backgrounds, card decks and the ability to upload an image for your table icon so you can customize the gaming experience to a point. About half the players
bother with a custom avatar, and pet photos seem to be the most popular. For a Mac user, the interface has enough to offer to keep the playing environment interesting, and is about on par with many other
poker rooms.
For the serious poker player, Poker Stars has a lot to offer with the large number of games available and lobby customization allowing you to find the games you are most interested in quickly and easily
(essentially you can check off the game features and stakes you are interested in to filter out the games available). It also doesn't hurt to know that Poker Stars is recognized for sending multiple World Series of
Poker winners to the big event, so you know the play is solid on their poker network.

The Bottom Line
Poker Stars is the largest poker room online and has about any type of poker game you could ask for. The Mac client is stable and offers all of the same features as the PC version so you can be assured of
a great gaming experience.
